Artist's Statement
"Art affects us on a personal level;
what may be interpreted as disturbing to one person, may be beautiful to another.
The piece of art we fall in love with is the one which touches
our soul and is there when we need it most."
"Although sometimes dressed in a gothic, mythological or fantastical style,
the subject matter of my work is modern living and our innermost reactions to it.
The infrastructure of life is delicate and complex and I am forever searching
for an understanding of why the world is the way it is, and our role in it."
"My passions are animals, birds, nature in general, and books."
"I have included a list of some of the books which I consider
to have a symbolist 'thread' in them and have been influential in my work."
